Quiz Party Beta privacy notice

Quiz Party Beta is a private beta quiz game provided by Punka under the Lumen and Loop project name. This notice explains the data handling of the current test version at buzzparty.lumenandloop.com and the companion Android app.

What the game needs to run

• A chosen player nickname, avatar, language, answers, score and room state are processed to run the current game. They are kept only for the active room and its short reconnection period; rooms expire automatically after at most four hours.
• The app saves game preferences, a reconnection token and a random anonymous profile ID locally on the device or in the browser. The profile ID is sent over an encrypted connection, immediately converted into a one-way server fingerprint, and used with question fingerprints to avoid serving the same questions again. The server does not retain the original profile ID, player name or a device advertising ID with this history.
• The beta records aggregate counts such as started and finished rounds, selected game mode, category, difficulty and question count. Country is derived from the incoming IP address only for aggregated daily beta statistics. The IP address itself is not stored in the insight file; a short-lived in-memory value prevents repeated counting and protects feedback forms from abuse.

Optional feedback

At the end of a game, players may voluntarily send a rating, replay intent, improvement category and a short comment. Feedback has no email field and is not tied to a player name or room code. Please do not enter personal, sensitive or confidential information into the free-text field.

Why and for how long

• Live room data: up to four hours, then the room is removed.
• Aggregate beta statistics and optional feedback: no more than 180 days.
• Question-repeat protection: a one-way anonymous profile fingerprint and question fingerprints are kept in a capped history so later sessions can avoid repeats. Clearing the app or site storage creates a new anonymous profile and disconnects future play from that history.

No advertising or sale of data

This beta has no advertising SDKs, advertising identifiers, third-party analytics trackers, payments or account registration. Data is not sold or shared for advertising. The beta has no live AI question generation; if that changes later, the notice and the store disclosure will be updated before release.

Communication with the beta service uses HTTPS. For a privacy request, email kingfra1@gmail.com with the subject Quiz Party privacy request. The optional in-game feedback form can also be used, but do not include sensitive information in its free-text field.

This is a test notice for the current private beta. A public launch will publish final legal details, updated data disclosures and, if accounts are introduced, an in-app account deletion path.

• Nickname, Avatar, Sprache, Antworten, Punktestand und Raumstatus werden nur verarbeitet, damit eine laufende Runde funktioniert. Raeume laufen spaetestens nach vier Stunden aus.
• Die App speichert Einstellungen, einen Wiederverbindungstoken und eine zufaellige anonyme Profil-ID lokal. Die ID wird verschluesselt uebertragen, auf dem Server sofort in einen nicht umkehrbaren Fingerabdruck umgewandelt und zusammen mit Fragen-Fingerabdruecken gegen Wiederholungen verwendet. Der Server bewahrt die urspruengliche Profil-ID nicht in dieser Historie auf.
• Fuer den Beta-Test zaehlen wir zusammengefasste Runden-, Kategorie- und Schwierigkeitswerte. Das Land wird nur aus der ankommenden IP fuer taegliche Gesamtstatistiken abgeleitet. Die IP selbst wird nicht in der Insight-Datei gespeichert.
• Freiwilliges Feedback kann Sterne, eine Kategorie und einen kurzen Text enthalten. Bitte keine persoenlichen oder sensiblen Daten hineinschreiben. Statistik und Feedback werden spaetestens nach 180 Tagen geloescht.
• Es gibt keine Werbung, keine Werbe-Tracker, keine Zahlungen, keine Konten und keine Live-KI-Themen in dieser Beta. Daten werden nicht fuer Werbung verkauft oder weitergegeben.
